Welcome to C Bennett Art!
I'm a one woman show, creating art and taking commissions in my free time around a schedule of work and horses. I have a range of work, from sketches to full watercolour pieces, so there is something for everyone. I'm adding to my portfolio and available commissions all the time, so please keep an eye out!

My Medium
I've always loved art, especially realism and animal studies. As I've gotten older, I've developed my skills through self teaching and practice. I work a regular 9 - 5 job, so art has been a release for any worries and stresses of the day.

I like sticking to my favourite regular mediums for my art. I love greyscale work with graphite and charcoal, as it shows so much contrast and I can really play with values in the work. My favourite colour medium is watercolour. I find with the ones I use, I can get a good range of complementing colours without having a muddy appearance,

My current favourites are the Artists' range from Winsor and Newton.

Seeing as I focus on realism, I find animals of all sorts to be fantastic subjects. Animals are the focus of most of the work I produce, with my chosen specialty being horses and other members of the equine family. Seeing as I focus on realism, I find animals of all sorts to be fantastic subjects. Animals are the focus of most of the work I produce, with my chosen specialty being horses and other members of the equine family. The motion and movement I can fill a piece with really makes me love them. They're so beautiful, and capturing the bond between a horse and rider, the partnership they have, is truly breath-taking. My boy Tor is my biggest muse, being my point of reference for basic sketches and practice pieces. He reminds me why I love creating art.
